The redesigned propeller, a unique mech-anism, is the hub of the weft insertion sys-tem, with absolute dimensional precision, now possible due to the new technologi-cal processes that guarantee less wear, higher speed and lower consumption.

High Precision Warp Feed Control

The SilverDT features significant techno-logical advancements and creates the opportunity to weave the widest possible range of terry cloth with the highest qual-ity guaranteed in all conditions.

The warp feed control system provides maximum regularity of the loop. Thanks to the special geometry and reduced in-ertia, the tensioner pile roller with its load cell guarantees a direct and accurate reading of the warp tension.

The resulting extreme sensibility of the system guarantees ultra dynamic varia-tions in tension to suit the warp move-ment, during the reed beat-up and the
loop formation.

The temple supports are fitted on mobile slides and are timed to match the move-ment of the fabric. This advanced sys-tem not only greatly facilitates the loop formation process, but also avoids dam-ages due to stretching and, at the same time, ensures constant quality regardless of fabric width.

An efficient drop-wire lifting system dur-ing the loop formation reduces warp thread rubbing, thus improving the over-all machine performance and, most im-portantly, guaranteeing a perfect loop
with constant height.

Powerful Machine Control System

The SilverDT’s embedded electronic devices can now be efficiently and ef-fectively managed due to the global re-design of the electronic control platform which uses the powerful Canbus system. The dedicated machine control soft-ware improves the loom automation for even faster and easier settings adjust-ments and enhanced overall machine performance.

Furthermore, the motorized weft cutter enables to produce the most refined and elegant terry cloth, allowing to weave a mix of different types of wefts and counts and enabling imagination and creativity.


User Friendly Weft Selector

The weft selector of up to 12 colors al-lows the weaver to choose the best presentation movement for each finger directly from the console, adapting it to all weft types. This system optimizes the delicate weft selection phase, resulting in a lower rate of loom stops.

The tuck-in devices are built with an Itema-patented special oscillating temple system, which guarantees quality and precision in any situation. This, coupled
with another useful feature, the electronic

selvedge device, which further improves weaving quality and settings accuracy, altogether maximize the machine’s ulti-mate versatility and user friendliness.

The loop formation system, entirely elec-tronically driven, enables to change the loop height by simply keying in the de-sired setting on the console, whilst the VRT electronic control device, available as optional, allows setting different weft ratios.

The SilverDT comes in different sizes, its width ranging from 190 up to 360 cm, in Dobby and Jacquard versions.
